Mountaineer Cross Country Schedule


Voluntary summer workouts w/ Coach Griswold beginning July 12  M-F 10am @ stadium

Fall practice begins Monday August 16 daily @ 8am @ Hialeah Park in Shawnee


This fall, both the boys’ and girls’ cross country teams captured both the regular season and the MVC league meet trophies.  This is the first time in school history that both teams have gone undefeated and then won the league meet championships.  In addition, Matt Valentin finished first at the league meet, becoming the first MVC champion from Stroudsburg.  Stroudsburg’s girls’ team captured its fourth league title in a row.  Two boys, senior Matt Valentin and sophomore Mark Pfaeffle, went to the PIAA state meet in Hershey, the first time Stroudsburg has sent boys to that meet since 2000.  Participation is at an all-time high, with 64 runners finishing the season.  All in all, we had a very successful year.
