It's Safe2Say Something! All SHS students were trained in how to be part of the solution in identifying and anonymously reporting classmates who need help with depression, suicide, bullying, possible violence, drug/alcohol use, etc. Safe2Say Something is an anonymous tip app for students phones. The training is mandated by the Attorney Generals Office of Pennsylvania. Remember, the only regret a student would ever have is not saying something when they could have! Check it out @ safe2saypa.org or Safe2Say Something in the app store

Welcome to SHS

Academic excellence has always been associated with Stroudsburg High School, whether it be the demands placed on students, the course offerings, or the methodologies with which those courses have been taught.  Parents and students may choose from Advanced Placement, Honors, College Preparatory, Applied, Career and Technical, and Remedial Programs.

Along with continued progress in academics, our co-curricular programs have woven themselves into the fabric of the school community. We at Stroudsburg believe in tradition and that participation in co-curricular activities is vital to the experience of a high school student.   Students at Stroudsburg High School can don the maroon and white in twenty-one PIAA approved varsity sports, along with numerous co-curricular activities which meet the interests of every student.  We believe in the importance of such activities, not only to promote school spirit and wellness, but also in their correlation to academic success.  Stroudsburg has become synonymous with traditions such as Moving Up Day, an exceptional music department, and the award winning and nationally recognized “Pioneer” yearbook, FBLA, Science Olympiad, and TSA.

SHS provides a positive learning environment in which academics are the focus.  In an effort to maintain that focus and in an effort to create a safe learning environment, which is free from distractions and intimidation, Stroudsburg High School has adopted a “Standardized Dress Policy, to allow equal treatment of all students within the school.  We are committed to the idea that all students can learn and succeed in an atmosphere that is challenging, nurturing, and safe.  In addition, in order to remain proactive in school safety, Stroudsburg High School has welcomed the addition of a School Resource Office to the staff in 2007, as well as re-hauling our School Safety Department, which includes 21 Officers, 12 of which are dedicated to the high school.
