Ms. Jennifer Snyder
Jen has been teaching in the district for 10 years. She is a graduate of ESU and have a Bachelor's in Secondary Education/Social Studies, and a Master's in Education from ESU. She has been the Varsity Field Hockey coach for 8 years and will be entering her second year as the Varsity Softball Coach. She teaches 10th and 11 grade History at the High School.

Mrs. Susan Flad
Susan Flad has been with the Stroudsburg Area School District since 1997. She teaches 11th grade honors, college prep, and average levels of World History. She attended East Stroudsburg University, and holds a B.S. in Secondary Ed, Social Studies and in B.S. Economics/Management and a M.A. in American History. She was a graduate assistant and earned a Master of Arts degree in American History.

Mr. Michael Frounfelker
Having been in the district since the fall of 2000, Mr. Frounfelker spent his first three years in the Stroudsburg Area School District at the junior high school teaching ninth grade history. After transferring to the high school, he taught Senior Sociology and Economics for one year, and he now tackles the Twentieth Century United States course. He is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University, which he attended for both his bachelor and master degrees. Although he commutes from Scranton, Mr. Frounfelker lived in Monroe County while attending ESU, and he is quite familiar with the area.

Mrs. Maria Hubler
Maria Hubler has been at SHS for six years, she teaches College Prep and Tech Prep levels of Modern World History as well as a Remdial 20th Century American History class. She graduated from East Stroudsburg University. She holds a BS in Secondary Education and is currently work on her Masters in Reading. She is an advisor for Student Council.

Mr. Thomas Kurnas
Thomas has been at Stroudsburg High School for 6 years, he teaches College Prep and Advanced Placement courses in Social Studies. He graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a BA in Political Science. He coaches Mock TRIAL and assists with the Model Congress club.

Mr. Anthony Lanfrank
Anthony has been at SHS for five years, he teaches Senior Social Studies which consists of Economics and Sociology. He attended College Misericordia, where he earned his degree in History and Secondary Education. He coaches Girls Middle School Basketball and JV Softball.

Ms. Moira Loughman
Moira is a social studies teacher at Stroudsburg Area High School. Ms. Loughman teaches Modern World History and 19th Century American History. She has a Master of Science degree in Education, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Political Science and History.

Mr. Pytko is a third year teacher at Stroudsburg Area. Mr. Pytko teaches 12 grade senior Social Studies and 10th grade 20th Century History. He graduated from Mahanoy Area High School in Mahanoy City, PA in Schuylkill County. He has attended Mansfield University, The Pennsylvania State University and has graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bloomsburg University. Mr. Pytko had a double major in history and Citizenship Education. Mr. Pytko has been involved throughout his career in Football, Baseball, Basketball and is an avid golfer.

Mr. Terence Smith
Mr. Terence Smith has been at Stroudsburg High School for twelve years. He teaches Social Studies. He earned two degrees from Millersville University, B.S. in Business Marketing and a B.A. in Economics, and has also completed his Masters Degree from East Stroudsburg University in Education. Mr. Smith currently coaches the Junior High Soccer team.

Mr. Shawn Thornton
Shawn Thornton is in his 22st year teaching in the Social Studies Department. He is a 1987 graduate of Dickinson College and currently teaches Senior Social Science and Contemporary Issues and the Law. In addition, he is in his 15th year as the Head Coach of the Boy's Basketball Team. Mr. Thornton's wife, Karin, is a School Psychologist in the school district and they have twins, Brian and Brittany, who are currently enrolled in the 4th grade at Stroudsburg Intermediate Elementary School.
