Mrs. Lori Bermudez has been at Stroudsburg High School for 22 years. She teaches Spanish 2, Spanish 4 Honors and Spanish 5 Advanced Placement classes and also serves as the Department Chairperson for the World Languages Department. She holds a BA in Spanish and Business Management from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA as well as a MA in Spanish Literature and Language from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT.

Mrs. Amanda Nicholson

Amanda Nicholson has been at SHS since 2005.  She teaches Spanish 1, 2, and 3.  She holds a Bachelor’s in Spanish and Secondary Education as well as a Master’s of Education from East Stroudsburg University.  She has previously served as assistant volleyball coach.  She is also a group fitness instructor locally.

Mrs. Kathy Simonovich

Kathy Simonovich has been at SHS for 9 years. She teaches French and Spanish. Prior to that she taught French in Hagerstown, Maryland for 3 years and Spanish at E. Stroudsburg High South for 11 years. She is a graduate of Stroudsburg High School and Lycoming College. She holds a BA degree in French and Spanish. She was coach for the Junior High Field Hockey team for the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

Ms. Maureen Verwey

Maureen Verwey has been in the Stroudsburg School District for 18 years. She teaches Honors and AP French. She attended Penn State University and holds a BS in Secondary Education. Classes taught this year by Mrs. Verwey: French III H, French IV H, French V AP.
