Along with continued progress in academics, our co-curricular programs have woven themselves into the fabric of the school community. We at Stroudsburg believe in tradition and that participation in co-curricular activities is vital to the experience of a high school student. Students at Stroudsburg High School can don the maroon and white in twenty-one PIAA approved varsity sports, along with numerous co-curricular activities which meet the interests of every student. We believe in the importance of such activities, not only to promote school spirit and wellness, but also in their correlation to academic success. Stroudsburg has become synonymous with traditions such as Moving Up Day, an exceptional music department, and the award winning and nationally recognized “Pioneer” yearbook, FBLA, Science Olympiad, and TSA.

SHS provides a positive learning environment in which academics are the focus. In an effort to maintain that focus and in an effort to create a safe learning environment, which is free from distractions and intimidation, Stroudsburg High School has adopted a “Standardized Dress Policy, to allow equal treatment of all students within the school. We are committed to the idea that all students can learn and succeed in an atmosphere that is challenging, nurturing, and safe. In addition, in order to remain proactive in school safety, Stroudsburg High School has welcomed the addition of a School Resource Office to the staff in 2007, as well as re-hauling our School Safety Department, which includes 21 Officers, 12 of which are dedicated to the high school.
